Myaing, 8 March

 The People Defense Force’s Battalion (1) attacked the joint column of junta troops and their affiliated Pyusawhtee forces  on 4 and 5 March.

The local guerilla forces used drop bombs and land mines in the attack, killing 7 and 17 injured.

 Bo Let Yar, the member of local PDF said, “Five soldiers and two Pyusawhtee members were killed at the attack, and 14 members of their troop were seriously injured in the battle.” He also identified the names of seven persons who were killed in the attack.

 The attack happened when junta troops and Pyusawhtee members were going to the market in Myaing Township.

 On 5 March, seven junta soldiers were injured in landmine attack, and five soldiers who camped between Kyaunggone village  and Thanpayarchang village were wounded in drop bomb attack.

 Local sources said that Pyusawhtees had to pay K100,000 per soldier for taking security on the way from their village to the market.
