The combined force of the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) attacked the battalion of Border Guard Force (BGF) and the police station in Kadaingti village under the KNU’s Hpapun District, killing five people, including the police station chief and a female police, reported Brigade 5 on March 10.
The resistance forces under the command of KNLA Brigade 5 launched an attack on a police station based in Kadaingti village in KNU Brigade 5 around 2 pm on March 5, killing the police station chief and a female police.
On the same day, the troops of KNLA Brigade 5 also raided BGF-1013, killing three BFG troops and injuring six others.
The KNLA has not revealed any reports of casualties or injuries to its group in these attacks.
A shell fired by the BGF-1013 unit based in Kadaingti landed and exploded in Poga village of Dwelo Township, injuring one 16-year-old girl and a 39-year-old woman around 8 pm on March 8.
The junta troops have frequently fired with heavy weapons into villages and farms in KNU’s Hpapun District, resulting in civilian casualties or injuries, and there have been ongoing clashes between the KNLA Brigade 5 and forces of military council.
