Two passengers were injured in a landmine explosion hit a train in Oktwin Township, Bago region on 22 March.
The train en route from Yangon to Mandalay was under attack between mile posts 142/9 and 142/10.
“Two men were injured and they were taken to the hospital. The first railway carriage was seriously destroyed,” said a member of local civil society organization to Than Lwin Times.
Damages occurred at the wind glass of locomotive, and at the window, the door and the seats of the first carriage.
The carriage was left at a nearby station, and the train continued its destination around 7 am.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, while about 20 junta officials made investigations.
