Belin, March (25)
The combined force of the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) captured the junta-affiliated BFG camp near Lesaw Lot village in Mon State’s Belin Township, a PDF official of Thaton District told Than Lwin Times.
On the morning of March 22, the Karen National Liberation Army KNLA attacked the Lesaw Lot BGF camp, where more than 30 troops were stationed.
After almost two hours of exchange of fire between the two sides, the KNLA joint force was able to capture the camp and some BGF troops fled.
Six BGF soldiers were killed, and one RPG, five guns, RPG grenades, bullets, and accessories were confiscated in the seizure of the camp.
In that battle, a PDF soldier from the KNLA joint force was narrowly hit on the head and injured, but he is not in critical condition.
Residents of Lesaw Lot, Me Lan, and nearby villages fled during the fighting and have now returned to their villages.
The KNLA joint forces captured and set fire to the BGF camp in Kyathaungseik village, Beilin Township, last year, killing some BGF soldiers and seized weapons.
