Belin, March (25)

The regime forces shot and killed three innocent civilians for violating the night curfew in Mon State’s Ye and Beilin Townships, the locals told Than Lwin Times.

On March 24, at around 11 pm, two youths, aged 17 and 20, were shot by a patrol force while they were standing on the side of the Yangon-Mawlamyine road between Daukyat and Shwe Yaung Pya villages in Beilin Township.

The killed young men have been transported to Beilin Township Public Hospital with the help of the social relief group.

The two young men were shot and killed because they were reportedly waiting to attack a military convoy with mines, and two improvised mines were also confiscated, according to the propaganda report circulated by military lobbyists.

On March 23, at around 8 pm, a local man who was driving from Kyaung village to Ye Township was shot dead by junta troops in front of LIB 61 near Kyonlaung village, Ye township, on the pretext of going out beyond the curfew time.
