The federal democracy charger must be used as a ‘bible’ to root out Myanmar’s military dictatorship, said Acting President Duwa Lashi La of the National Unity Government.

At the ceremony to mark the second anniversary of federal democracy charter on 31 March, the acting president said, “Our revolution is based on a principle to root out military dictatorship. So, we need to use the federal democracy charter as a ‘bible’ in this revolution.”

With the supervision of National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC), the adopting of federal democracy charter was a significant success in the revolution, he added.

The charter was approved through NUCC as a common political consent of political forces, ethnic armed organizations and pro-democracy people, and that the future policies for new nation are enshrined in this charter, the acting president said.

The second anniversary celebration was joined by ethnic leaders and representatives of revolutionary forces.

Political parties and relevant group sent the congratulatory message to the ceremony.
