A heavy battle broke out between the junta army and the revolutionary forces on the
Tanintharyi-Mawdaung road in Chaung Hna Pauk village, Tanintharyi township on the morning of March 31, the residents and Tanintharyi PDF members told Than Lwin Times.
While the military column with more than 100 forces invaded Chaung Hna Pauk villag and clashed with the combined force of the KNU Battalion 11, Kawthoolei Army, and Tanintharyi PDF.
At least five members of the regime troops have been injured, and the fighting between the two sides may become more intense due to the junta’s continuous invasion, said a PDF official in Tanintharyi Township.
As the military regime arrests civilians as human shields and porters, the resistance forces urge the people to flee for safe places and to follow the set rules.
All residents of Chaung Hna Pauk and Thein Khun villages have fled the fighting and are in need of food and medical aid, said the local residents.
On March 29, a battle broke out between the military council army and the revolutionary forces on the Tanintharyi-Mawdaung road in Chaung Hna Pauk village.
After the military council declared martial law in Taninthayi Township on February 2, there have been frequent clashes between the junta troops and the members of the People’s Defense Forces.
