Nay Pyi Taw, 6 April

The military publicly asked in its media for free-of-charge permission to use songs at its entertainment pandals in the Water Festival this month.

The junta is preparing to hold the festival joyously in major cities such as Yangon, Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw.

Last year, many famous singers did not sing at the junta’s entertainment pandals, and amateur singers made some mistakes in their performance, facing objection of copyright owners of these songs.

The revolutionary forces have advised the public not to enjoy the traditional water festival of junta regime.
