Mawlamyine, 3 June
Public administrations have been formed in more than 170 townships as the areas controlled by the revolutionary forces have been expanded in the past two years, said Prime Minister Mahn Win Khaing Than of National Unity Government.
During the Interim Local Public Administration Central Committee meeting on 1 June, the prime minister said, “It is advised to collect real information of each township and hold discussion among the ministries. During the meeting between central committee and township level, topics related to politics are being discussed in addition to administration, defence, justice and humanitarian affairs.”
He also said township-level public administrations to take immediate actions on the need of public as it is fundamental for a good governance.
The prime minister also advised on the effective use of revenue due to the decline of funding from the public as the revolution has been longer than expected.
He also discussed providing relief assistance to the areas under the brutal attacks of the military and the areas affected by Cyclone Mocha.
