Launglon, June (29)

The two police stations in Tanintharyi Region’s Launglon and Yebyu townships were attacked by drone-carrying bombs, the Launglon PDF (LLPDF) told Than Lwin Times.

The People’s Defense Forces launched a drone attack on Maung Makan police station in Launglon around 11 a.m. on June 27 and another on police station in Yebyu around 5 p.m.

One mortar round landed between the detention facility and office in the attack on Maung Makan police station and the other exploded near police housing in Yebyu.

The spokesperson of LLPDF said that some junta members were injured and killed, and the details of the situation are being investigated.

After being attacked by drones, regime troops used heavy and small weapons in retaliation but resistance fighters were able to withdraw successfully without any harm.

After the attack on police stations, a junta warship docked about a mile away from Moung Makan beach at 6:00 p.m., and residents in Thinbaw Seik, Pan Tat Inn, Kyauk SIn, and Maun Makan were reportedly fleeing.

On June 23, a vehicle was attacked between Moung Makan village and the police station, killing two police sergeants including the police station chief.
