Two military personnel were killed and one injured in the attack on regime troops providing security at the inspection gate of Sittaung paper mill in Theinzayet Town, in Mon State’s Kyaikto, the spokesperson of Thaton PDF told Than Lwin Times.

The allied resistance forces attacked the inspection gate, which was guarded by nearly ten soldiers and militia members, around 10 a.m. on July 3.

The two sides exchanged fire for nearly 10 minutes, and two soldiers were killed and one militia member was injured.

After the exchange of fire, the Artillery 310 based in Theinzayet launched heavy weapons on the villages in the KNU-controlled areas.

The military personnel at the inspection gate of the Sittaung paper mill beat the travelers and demanded money from them, said Ko Aye Min Htun, a spokesperson of Thaton PDF.

At around 7:00 p.m. that day, troops providing Mytel Tower in Ingabo village, Kyaikto Township, were attacked by a drone, injuring some people.

The military lobbyists spread propaganda on their Telegram that there were no injuries or deaths in the attack on the Sittaung paper mill.

Clashes frequently erupt in Kyaikto, the stronghold of resistance fighters.
