Dawei, July 8
The military column that advanced towards eastern Dawei in Tanintharyi Region shot and killed one resident and arrested at least five others, locals told Than Lwin Times.
A military column of more than 60 troops entered Myin Mattat village from Thingandon village on the night of July 6.
The regime troops shot U Han Win, a villager from Myin Mattat, to death for no reason.
On July 7, a local resident said the junta army arrested at least five civilians as human shields while they were marching from Myin Mattat village to Yewaing village.
Since July 1, a 200-strong military unit has entered eastern Dawei, splitting into three columns and invading villages one by one.
On July 2, junta troops raided a camp in the front line of the allied PDF forces, killing one resistance fighter and confiscating some weapons.
