Special operation forces at frontlines and camps held the 76th anniversary of Martyr’s Day event on 19 July.
They saluted the flag of People’s Defence Force, paid tribute to the late martyrs and late comrades of S.O.F and reading out the message of Operation Commander of Southern Military Command of People’s Defence Force.
A total of eight S.O.F members have sacrificed their lives over the past two years of defensive war.
S.O.F commander said, “We will always remember and pay tribute to the martyrs who were assassinated during the struggles for independence of Myanmar, fallen members of PDF and eight comrades of S.O.F.”
He added that they will keep on trying with more efforts for the success of revolution.
The S.O.F has based in the KNU territory , and is coordinating with allied revolutionary forces in fighting against the military council.
