The Union-State/Federal Unit Cooperation Commission of National Unity Government, the Interim Executive Council of Karenni state (IEC), and the Karenni State Consultative Council (KSCC) held the first meeting on 28 July.

 At the online meeting, Acting President of NUG Duwa Lashi La advised to come out good results from coordination meeting.

“All the resistance forces have found the Karenni state is now their main focus of attention due to its significant characteristics in terms and revolution and organization. All the people are supporting Karenni state as it has gained victories at the forefront of  revolution,” said Duwa Lashi La.

The meeting discussed cooperation in education, healthcare, humanitarian assistance, women and child affairs, human rights, financial sector, administration and military operations.

Dr. Lian Hmung Sakhong, the Minister for Federal Union Affairs, discussed the objectives and work plans of the Union-State/Federal Unit Cooperation Commission.

The meeting was also attended by Prime Minister Mahn Win Khaing than, NUG’s ministers, Chairman of KSCC U Aung San Myint and its members, IEC’s Vice Chairman Khun Bi Htoo, NUG’s Alliance Relations Committee members led by U Min Ko Naing.
