The Acting President of the National Unity Government, Duwa Lashi La, warned that only through strategic performance on all front lines will the revolutionary group be able to create a federal democratic union with full standards of democracy and human rights for the people.
Acting President of NUG, Duwa Lashi La, made this remark at the 29th cabinet meeting of the National Unity Government held on 29 August.
According to Acting President, the suffered military council is carrying out strikes without distinguishing between civilian and military targets, and is constantly committing arson attacks and destroying villages and homes.
He said, “Under this situation, we have to fight on multiple fronts, not just the military, to hurt the enemy more, and finance and international relations are important fronts of the revolution”.
In addition, he added that the US government’s financial and fuel sanctions on the military council have clearly reached a crisis situation for the military council.
The Acting President emphasized that the military council’s decision to expel the East Timorese ambassador and their families is a disgraceful and dishonorable act in the international arena, and that he was sorry for the ambassador and his families.
At the meeting, they discussed the matter of easing the payment of 10 US dollars or Myanmar kyats as a service fee for the issuance of foreign birth certificates presented by the Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration and the Federal Democracy Charter Promotion presented by the Ministry of International Cooperation.
