Ye, 1 October

The Ye Balu resistance group killed three regime troops, including the deputy battalion commander of the Light Infantry Battalion 591, which is based in Kyaung Ywar village of Ye Township, Mon State, said Office of the Deputy Regional Commander of the 3rd Division of Southern Regional Command.

On September 30, at around 11:00 p.m., after receiving the tip-off from the informant, the Ye Balu group launched a surprise attack on a car carrying a deputy battalion commander and two other soldiers, which was driving outside the camp, 500 yards from the military compound.

Three people, including the deputy battalion commander of the military council, were killed on the spot, and because the location of the incident was too close to LIB 591, they were unable to seize weapons and military equipment and retreated, according to the statement.

The attack also reportedly hit a hijet vehicle, killing two civilians and injuring the other, but Than Lwin Times is unable to confirm it.

The Office of the Deputy Regional Commander of the 3rd Division of Southern Regional Command reported that the KNLA/PDF joint forces are conducting daily security checks along the Mawlamyine-Ye-Dawei No. 8 Union Highway to ensure the safety of the area and the safe travel of travelers.

The revolutionary groups have called on travelers to accept the inspection, not to carry people and goods related to the military council, not to ride in military vehicles, and to have the vehicles of other ethnic armed groups also be inspected.
