Laiza,11 October

At least 30 persons, including children, were killed in the bombardment of  Mung Lai Hka IDP village near Laiza, Kachin state.

The IDP village is located near Kachin Independence Organization/Kachin Independence Army (KIO/KIA).

The aerial attack occurred around 11 pm on 9 October.

The Kachin Human Rights Watch (KHRW) reported on 10 October morning that at least 30 persons were killed, and nearly 60 persons were injured in the bombardment.

The KHWR strongly condemned Myanmar military for this attack, and also called for taking actions against it at International Criminal Court.

 Colonel Naw Bu, the spokesperson of KIO/KIA said to some media organization that the military might have carried out drone attack as no one heard jet fighters.

The military council has not given remark on the attack.

Than Lwin Times attempted to contact military council’s spokesperson Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun for details, but he could not be called.
