Yebyu, 31 October
The Dawei Battalion 1 launched a deadly ambush on regime forces that left Nabule village in Ye Township after burning down local houses.
The 50-strong junta convoy was ambushed near Yan Kin village around 9:30 p.m. on October 26.
The attack destroyed a military vehicle, killing 16 soldiers and injuring ten more.
Ko Nagar, the spokesperson of the Red Dragon Guerilla Force, told Than Lwin Times that they waited for the junta convoy to attack according to the tip-off from the informant.
The junta column that invaded Nabule village set fire to 24 residential houses and killed four locals, said the sources.
Thousands of locals from several villages—Yankin, Ekani, Khamauk Chaung, Ya Lai, Kon Tharyar, Mudu, Le Shaung, Paradad, Wet Chaung, and Pagaw Zun—have been displaced by the junta raid.
On October 19, a battle broke out between the joint resistance forces and the regime troops, which entered the western part of Yebyu Township.
