Taungoo, 14 November
The regime troops set fire to 25 houses during a battle that broke out Shan Pyone Chaung and Kayah Pyone Chaung villages in KUN Battalion 2 of Taungoo District, according to ground sources.
On November 12, the junta army and the joint forces of the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) engaged in a three-hour-long battle between two villages.
Heavy casualties have been reported on the junta side in the three-hour battle from 2 to 5 p.m.
Locals claim that two military vehicles carried the dead soldiers of the military council, but the exact number is unknown.
According to local sources, regime troops burned down 25 houses in Kayah Pyone Chaugn village after the fighting, killed livestock animals, and fired heavy weapons.
The clashes forced around 300 residents from villages such as Kayah Pyone Chaung, Shan Pyone Chaung, and Yedwinkon to flee to safety.
