One civilian was killed and four others were injured as the junta army fired artillery shells into KNU Brigade 3 of Nyaunlaybin District, said the Karen National Union (KNU).

On 12 November, the mortar shell fired by regime forces exploded in Mone Township, injuring two locals from Thinhneekyaung village and damaging two houses in Wattu village, the statement said.

Meanwhile, another explosion occurred in Gwaykon village as Light Infantry Battalion 307 launched 120 mm into the village around 4:30 p.m. on November 13, injuring two local women.

On the same day, LIB 598, based near Zalotekyi village in Shwekyin Township, fired four 81-mm mortar shells, one of which exploded in a field near Shanzu village, killing a Chuang Wa villager.

On November 11, the regime troops, for no reason, detained two Ngapheinn villagers who were on their way to town to buy spare parts for motorbikes on Thahtaykon village road in Kyaukkyi Twonship, and they have not been released until now.

The junta army has been launching mortar shells into villages in Mone, Kyaukkyi, and Shwekyin of Nyaunglaybin District, controlled by the KNU.

Furthermore, the military council arrests people who go to town markets, confiscates their goods, and demands money from them, according to the KNU.
