A soldier of military council was arrested while he was investigating members of the People’s Defense Forces (PDFs) near Kyaung Ywar village in Mon State’s Ye Township, said Ye Hawk Squad.
On December 26, at around 4:00 p.m., the Ye Hawk Squad apprehended Nay Lin, a junta soldier riding a motorcycle in plainclothes and investigating revolutionary troops on Kyaung Ywar Road.
The Ye Hawk Squad revealed that private Nay Lin,28, is from Light Infantry Battalion 591 based in Kyaung Ywar village in Ye.
According to a Ye Hawk Squad officer, the soldier is now being investigated and will be dealt with in accordance with procedures.
Private Naing Lin has only been serving in the military regime for almost two years and has been assigned to investigate members of the PDFs.
On December 25, the Ye Hawk Squad attacked Ye’s suspension bridge checkpoint, killing a Border Guard Force (BGF) member.
