Thanbyuzayet, July (7)

The house that was used as the party office of the National League for Democracy (NLD) in Thanphyuzara Township, Mon State, was sealed off by regime troops and members of the administration, locals confirmed to Than Lwin Times.

The sealed office belonged to resident Daw Myint Myint Khaing, and the military council sealed it on the grounds that she had rented it to Daw Myat Thita Tun, a member of the NLD representative.

The military council has filed cases against NLD representative Daw Myat Thita Tun of Thanbyuzayet Township under the Anti-Terrorism Law as well as other charges.

On June 20, the military council seized the home of Daw Khin Myo Myint, the NLD representative for State Hluttaw of Kyaikmaraw Township, on the grounds that she was linked to a terrorist organization.

On June 13, the NLD said that the military council had sealed off more than 600 residences and properties of NLD MPs, party members, and civilians in the two years after the country’s military takeover.
