Myanmar’s military council committed at least 144 massacres, killing 1,595 persons, since the coup in February 2021, according to the report of Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs under the Nation Unity Government on 1 August.
The military has systematically intensified and escalated the mass killing in retaliation for people’s increasing resistance against the coup, the report said, adding that every efforts are being made to ensure justice for the human rights violations of the military.
Moreover, the ministry encouraged people to submit information and evidence of human rights violations and international crimes committed by the military.
The report also confirmed that the MoHR will try to eradicate practice of impunity by the military in human rights violation, and will record the military’s huaman rights violation to deliver justice in establishing federal democratic union.
The military committed 11 massacres in 2021, 85in 2022, and 45 in 2023 until July.
