The United Wa State Army (UWSA) dismissed its two senior officials who are wanted for cyber fraud in China.
The UWSA made a statement that these two men have violated Chinese laws and regulations, and they have caused tarnished UWSA’s relationships with international and neighbourings countries.
“The incident has damaged mutual political trust and friendly relationships with neighbouring countries,” the statement said.
Pauk Ai Pan, head of construction department of Wa Self-Administered Division, and Ai Hauk, officer of Mgong Lang district, have been accused of leading telecom fraud gangs.
Chinese police issued arrest warrants for them 12 October, offering a reward of 100,000 to 500,000 renminbi.
Since September, UWSA has handed over Chinese suspects involved in telecommunication fraud.
