Thayetchaung, 30 November
The regime forces, which invaded Kin Shae village in Thanintharyi Region’s Thayetchaung Township, threatened to destroy the village if the members of the People’s Defense Force were accepted, locals told Than Lwin Times.
A military column of 50 troops advanced towards Kin Shae village from Pauk Taing bridge around 2 p.m. on 28 November.
According to local residents, the junta soldiers ransacked nearly 20 homes in Kin Shae village and stole valuables, including children’s money boxes.
Before leaving the village, the regime troops scribbled on the wall, “If you accept the PDFs, we will destroy the village.”
When the military convoy entered Shin Mote Htee village and inspected the houses, 50-year-old Daw Myint was shot and killed while running away in fear.
It is reported that the junta army that invaded the villages of Kin Shae, Shin Mote Htee, Shan Ma Twin, Yaung Maw and Palway Shaung were stationed again near the Pauk Tai bridge on November 29.
Residents of those five villages had to flee to safe places, and some of them returned to their villages on the morning of November 29.
On November 23, the junta army entered Thabyay Shaung village in Launglon Township, burned down more than 20 motorcycles and ten tents belonging to local residents, and threatened that more protests would result in worse consequences.
