Mawlamyine, April (12)
The Highway Express operators say they will continue to run buses in Mon State during Thingyan.
The express service will continue to operate as usual during Thingyan to help with the flow of goods and to make travel easier for customers.
According to one operator, most Express lines will operate with a limited number of vehicles, while some operators intend to run only one bus each day.
In Mon State, there are more than 70 Highway Express lines that run between states and regions, with at least 30 of them set to function during Thingyan.
On the other hand, more than a year after the military takeover, the price of fuel has surged, and certain Express lines have lost money and ceased operations due to a fall in the number of passengers.
