The military troops gunned down a sand and stone transport truck driver for no reason on the Yangon-Mawlamyine highway in Aye Kabar village in Mon State’s Thanbyuzayat Township around 12 on February 2, the locals told Than Lwin Times.
Ko Aung Naing Soe, a 29-year-old Lamaing Township resident, was shot by soldiers in a military vehicle while stopping beside the road for two military vehicles to pass by.
It is reported that Aung Naing Soe received a gunshot wound in his left thigh and was transported from Lamaing Hospital to Mawlamyine Hospital by social rescue teams.
On October 11, a military council convoy fired randomly on the Yangon-Mawlamyine road in Kaninkamaw village, Ye township, injuring three locals.
The military convoys, which are often attacked on the Thanbyuzayat-Ye road, are shooting wildly at the surrounding area along the road.
