Five members of military-backed militias were killed during a raid on their camp by a local defense force in Yesagyo Township, Magway region on 27 February.
Captain Meik Khae, the leader of Myingyan Black Tiger, said to Than Lwin Times that these militia members, known as Pyusawhtees, were the key persons to set up a military camp in Gootgyi village.
“All the villages in this area support the military. No one should play with fire. They requested letters to the junta regime to set up a military camp in their village. They are preparing to operate a camp by mid- March. So, we attacked them in advance,” said Captain Maik Khe.
The local resistance force confiscated their patrol schedules, name list of Pyusawhtees and their seizure of public land in the raid.
The Myingyan Black Tiger force conducted a heavy weapon attack on junta soldiers at the bank of Yesagyo Township on 26 February, but they could not confirm the damages or dead.
At least three soldiers in the same township were wounded in an attack of local forces by a shoulder-fired missile on 21 February.
The Myingyan Black Tiger, together with allied forces, conducted joint attacks on the military’s camp in Yesagyo Township on 13 February, killing more than 15 soldiers. News—Than Lwin Times
