A porter was killed in a landmine blast near Yathaedaung camp on Kyaiktiyo Hill in Kinmonchaung village, Mon State’s Kyaikto Township, the locals told Than Lwin Times.
Ko Khin Maung, a 25-year-old, went out to pick vegetables on March 21, but he didn’t return home.
After that, the locals searched for Ko Khin Maung, and on the evening of March 22, the porter was found dead with landmine injuries.
The porter, Ko Khin Maung, was hit by a landmine, and his right ankle was nearly amputated, and his body suffered from shrapnel wounds, and he may have bled to death, according to local residents.
The porter, Ko Khin Maung, left behind his wife and two minor children, according to local sources.
On May 8 last year, a 12-year-old boy from Chaung Gwe village, Piti village tract, was injured by a landmine when he went to pick vegetables near Kyaiktiyo Mountain.
