At the 50th cabinet meeting of the NUG on April 12, Acting President of the Nation Unity Government (NUG) Duwa Lashi La called for political parties not to run in the elections to be held by the junta.

NUG’s Acting President, Duwa Lahshi La has urged the political parties to boycott the military council’s upcoming elections, saying it should not be accepted.

The Acting President said that the elections held under the junta’s self-planned rules would not be fair and transparent.



The NUG was able to negotiate with its members, National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC), Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) and Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs) in accordance with the policies in Sections 1 and 2 of the Convention as well as the future Roadmap.

At the meeting, the Ministry of Defense submitted its yearly report to the National Unity Government (NUG) and discussed the awarding of bonds to civil servants who joined the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM).
