The regime forces launched a heavy offensive in the east of Pekon Inn on Shan-Karenni border, the Karenni Nationalities Defense Force (KNDF) told Than Lwin Times.
The junta armed forces launched with a military cloumn from Shan State’s Nyaungshwe and another from Moebye.
The KNDF resisted the military troops because they marched in two columns in the east of Pekon Inn, which is believed to have local People’s Defense Forces, an official said.
Military personnel invaded local residents’ homes in communities along the route, stealing goods and slaughtering chickens, pigs, and livestock.
Fighting between the military council and the PDFs has intensified in the eastern part of Pekon Inn since May 15, with the military council continuing to conduct reconnaissance aircraft.
Fighting between the military council and the PDFs drove approximately 200,000 people to flee Karenni State after a military takeover.
