Two junta checkpoints attacked in Ye, Kyaikto Townships

According to sources from People’s Defense Forces, there may have been casualties on the junta side in the November 15 attack on two regime checkpoints in Ye Township and Kyaikto Township of Mon State.

The Ye Balu resistance force attacked the Light Infantry Battalion-586 based in Ye Township around 12:30 pm on November 15 with small and heavy weapons.

At least four members of the regime’s security forces were seriously injured in the attack, Ye Balu reported.

Moreover, the military checkpoint at Sittaung crossroad in Moppalin village of Kyaikto Township was hit by junta’s 40-mm mortar shell around 12 pm on November 12.

The three 40-mm shells exploded near a junta checkpoint, and the casualties among military personnel were being investigated, Ko Aye Min Htun, the official of Thaton PDF, said.

Since the military coup, there have been at least four attacks on the military checkpoint on Sittaung Crossroad, in which the military council sustained heavy losses.
