The regime forces dropped bombs on southern Kawkayeik, held by KNU Brigade 6 on February 6 when there wasn’t any fighting.

The junta planes carried out aerial bombardment on the communities in southern Kawkayeik in Brigade 6 around 12:30 a.m. on February 6, the bombs exploded outside the villages and no one was injured.

The junta aircraft frequently bombed the villages of southern Kawkayeik, as well as carrying out artillery shelling.

Moreover, the regime forces conduct often aerial bombings on mine blocks in Phayarthonzu area as well as Kaykayein in Brigade 6.

Currently, the military council has declared martial law in Kawkayei, Kyainseingyi and Ye ownships within the area of the KNU Brigade 6, and there are frequent clashes between the two sides in these areas.

The number of displaced people has grown more than previously as a result of the intense fighting in KNU Brigade 6 areas.
