The Ministry of Defence under the National Unity Government sent a congratulatory message to honour the 75th anniversary of Chin National Day on 20 February, expressing its commitment on continuing struggle to root out military dictatorship in Myanmar.
The message also urged all Chin people to work together for national unity, try for liberation in harmonious efforts’, to end military dictatorship which is a common enemy for all nationals.
The minister also reiterated the establishment of a federal democracy union endowed with self-ruling, self-ruling, equal status and justice which are the objectives of people’s revolution and common destination for all nationals.
The message expressed prestige value of Chin nationals attached to their self-administration, own culture and literature and own customs and characteristics before the country was colonialized in the past.
The courage and sacrifices of Chin people are historically and highly impressive in the achievement of Panglong Agreement for the independence of entire country, the message of defense ministry said.
