Khin-U, 4 March

Over 10,000 locals have fled from their homes as the military is conducting offensive attacks on western part of Khin-U Township, Sagaing region, said the locals to Than Lwin Times.

The junta troops fired heavy weapon shelling on Yartaw and Kyuntawgyi villages and deliberately set fire to the houses there on 2 March.  Locals from seven villages in nearby area have fled from their homes.

The military is conducting offensive attacks, heavy weapon shelling and air strikes in central Myanmar areas every day, and the locals have to take shelter at the mountains, forests and PDF camps.

Over two million Myanmar people are living as IDPs across the country, and they are in dire need of personal items and humanitarian assistance.
