Since March 25, the fighting between the junta army and the combined resistance forces has intensified in Palawkon village in Tanintharyi Region’s Palaw Township, where martial law has been declared, an official of the PDF told Than Lwin Times.

The clash broke out when the PDF joint forces ambushed a three-vehicle military convoy carrying more than 50 soldiers who came to reinforce Palawkon village around 3 p.m. on March 24.

The fighting continued until the evening of March 25, and the regime forces continued to launch heavy weapons.

It has reported that at least three soldiers were killed and some were injured in the battle.

Hundreds of residents of Palawkon, Nat Eain Htaung, and nearby villages have fled to safety due to the Palaw battle.

On the 21st of March, 13 soldiers were killed in a 2-day battle between the regime troops and the PDF joint forces that advanced with more than 200 troops between Minhtein and Pawut Phyar villages in Palaw Township.

Since the declaration of martial law in Pulau Township, there have been at least 10 clashes in which both sides have suffered injuries or deaths.
