A gambling ring run by junta-appointed administrators and militiamen was warned by a bombing in Kadoeseik village, Mon State’s Belin Township, an official from the People’s Defense Force (PDF) in Belin told Than Lwin Times.

The PDF used a sound grenade to warn a gambling party Katoeseik villageon at 11:00 p.m. April 13.

It is reported that the gambling ring in Katoeseik village and another one in Thaunggyi village both halted their activities after being warned by a sound grenade.

In these gambling rings, the gamblers spend hundreds of thousands of kyats on cockfights, card and dice games, and anglo games, while the regime forces, police, and administrative officials collect permission fees.

According to an official of the PDF in Belin Township, the warning with the sound grenade was intended to cut off the cash flow of junta-affiliated people, and if they continue, they would face future attacks.

Before the military coup, there were gambling rings in Belin Township, but they were not visible to the public, and following the military coup, gambling parties showed up along with festivities.
