Yangon – April (17)

Military’s mouthpiece media reported on 17 April to release 3,015 prisoners who are serving in different prisons, jails and camps across the country.

 They will be released on parole not to commit further offenses, or they would have to serve   the remaining sentence, in addition to the current sentence.

 Than Lwin Times has not confirmed yet whether political prisoners will also be released or not.

Junta   arrested more than 20,000 people, and 17,000 are still under detention, according to the Association for the Assistance of Political Prisoners.
