The Ye Guerrilla Force told Than Lwin Times that they attacked the village administrator and members of the militia group who were patrolling at night near Asin village in Ye Township, Mon State.


Ye Guerrilla Force attacked seven members of the militia, including the Asin village administrator, who were patrolling on three motorbikes on the road between Asin and Zee Phyu Thaung villages at around 9:00 p.m. on April 25.


Asin village administrator U Maung Ohn was wounded in the thigh while the rest of the militia members escaped unharmed, according to an official of the Ye Guerrilla Force.


U Maung Ohn injured by a piece of shrapnel, was taken to Ye Township Hospital.


Locals confirmed that the Asin village administrator and militia group were hit by landmines and that the attack occurred at night, therefore, the details of the situation are unknown.


After that incident, 100-strong regime troops in five earth-moving vehicles passed through Asin village and headed towards Zee Phyu Thaung village on the morning of April 26, according to local residents.


On April 12, two militia members and a local civilian were killed in an attack when they were in the Zee Phyu Thaung administrative office.
