Lashio, 5 May
Four Chinese citizens were sentenced to death by the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) based in Kokang Special Region (1) for committing many criminal cases, including nine persons in Lashio of northern Shan state.
They were found guilty of committing 25 criminal cases such as robbery, kidnapping and murder. Their victims were 7 males and 2 females who were one Chinese citizen and 8 Myanmar nationals.
These four offenders are the aged from 18 to 29 years old, and lived in Lashio. Two of them were the members of pro-military Manpang militia.
The verdicts were made at a temporary court of Shan State Special Region (1) in Mupan district on 1 May.
From these criminal cases, they received 4.77 million Chinese yuan, 7,451 million kyat, 5 Toyota Crown saloon cars, 1 VO car, 1 Lexus car, 1 Toyota car and 2 finger ringers. MNDAA is still searching the remaining cash from them.
MNDAA announced that they are chasing the culprits at large; people are facing various threats in their societies after the coup; systematic gang related crimes were found in Lashio and Muse in northern Shan state.
