The police stations in Taung Zun and Win Ka villages in Mon State’s Belin Township were attacked simultaneously on the evening of May 6, locals told Than Lwin Times.
On that day, at around 3:00 p.m., an alliance of anti-regime forces launched simultaneous drone and bomb attacks against the Taung Zun and Win Ka police stations.
According to local residents, the Taung Zun police station was first attacked by drones, followed by another attack 10 minutes later, and the Win Ka police station was bombed by resistance forces.
Some of the Win Ka area police station’s buildings were destroyed by the explosion, and the Taung Zun police station may have been damaged, with some casualties, according to a local.
Following the incident, the military council started shooting randomly in the direction of the drones and the surrounding area after the police station was attacked.
Than Lwin Times is still investigating the details of the attack on two police stations in Belin Township.
On April 26, the office of the Township Revenue Department, on the side of the Belin-Taungooroad in Belin’s Kanthayar Ward, was hit by a mine, and some parts of buildings were destroyed.
