The Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) adopted a resolution requesting the United Nations, ASEAN, and other countries to take immediate action to end the military council’s war crimes.
At a special session of the CRPH held on May 8, it was decided to put an end to the war crimes committed by the military council, including airstrikes against civilians, and crimes against humanity as soon as possible.
At the special meeting of the CRPH, 13 points were approved, including not to export or sell aircraft oil, weapons, or military equipment to the junta, and to cooperate internationally in bringing the military council to the International Court of Justice or the International Criminal Court for committing war crimes.
These resolutions are a diplomatic effort to get practical help from the international community in the effort to end the dictatorship and establish a federal democracy in Myanmar, the statement said.
In addition to the airstrikes on Pazi Gyi village, Latyetkone village, and Anangpa village, the regime troops have been setting villages on fire and killing people.
Moreover, more than 70,000 homes have been burned, the elderly, the disabled, and children have died, and more than 1.7 million people have fled their homes since the military coup.
