Three bodies were found in the creek water of Sinphyukyun area in Salin Township, Magway region, said the locals to Than Lwin Times.
Salin creek burst its banks, flooding around nearby 20 villages and destroying 85 percent of farmlands.
“Mother and her offspring reportedly died in the flood. Some death tolls have not been identified yet, “ said a local to Than Lwin Times.
The body of 70-year-old mother was found on 15 May morning, and that of her daughter in the same afternoon.
A man in Nwetamal village also died in the flood while he was carrying her mother’s goods.
Salin creek rose with cyclone rains from 4 pm to 9 pm.
The Humanitarian and Disaster Management Ministry under the National Unity Government published the Mocha-related death toll at 18.
