Three departmental offices, including police station, were attacked by the allied resistance forces at the same time in Tanintharyi Region’s Launglon Township in the afternoon of May 23, locals told Than Lwin Times.
At 12:00 noon that day, the resistance forces attacked the police station, the immigration office, and the Military Security Affairs Office at the same time.
It is said that an officer was killed and a staff was injured in the attack on the immigration office, but Than Lwin Times has not been able to independently confirm it.
Meanwhile, the regime forces opened fire at the resistance forces in the attack on the police station and the Militray Security Affairs office, but the revolutionary forces were able to withdraw unharmed.
Locals said that after the attack on the departmental offices, the junta forces blocked the roads and conducted searches and inspections in Launglon, and security was particularly tightened day and night.
It is not yet known which organization carried out the attack.
After the military coup, Laugnlon’s police outposts, police stations, departmental offices, and places where junta troops were stationed were often targeted, causing injuries or deaths.
