Military troops searched members of people defence force in the forests after at least five soldiers were killed and four were injured in armed clashes near Sedoktara Township in Magway region on 23 May.

Local defence force said to Than Lwin Times, “The allied defence forces strategically carried out the attacks simultaneously, aiming for liberation of the area in the western bank of Ayeyawady river,” said Commander Hercules of People Revolution Alliance (PRA-Magway).

 The junta soldiers were ambushed by PRA Magway and Z-Fighter near Mandatkine village. One gun was confiscated from the soldiers, and one member of PDF lost his life and one injured.

Moreover, the Battalion 1 of Minbu district carried out rocket fire on the military checkpoint near Kyuntaw road, killing two soldiers and some injured.
