Yangon, 6 May
Shooter of pro-military nationalist female pop-singer Lily Naing Kyaw was reportedly arrested on 4 June, said the source close to Yangon Region police force to Than Lwin Times.
The suspect identified as Phoe Pyae has been transferred to an interrogative center after he was arrested at an dormitory in Hledan area of Kamayut township, Yangon, around 3:30 am.
The source also said that the suspect changed his hairstyle after his mission, but he was identified in his other appearances, said the source, adding that CCTV cameras from houses, shops and city buses were checked to trace his location.
The pro-military signer was shot in front of his house on 30 May, and underwent medical treatments at a military hospital. But she died in the CT scan.
After nationalists Tint Lwin and Lily Naing Kyaw were shot dead in May, the members of Patriotic Association of Myanmar (Ma Ba Tha) requested the military for weaponry, and some criticized the military chief for the military’s failure to protect them.
