Four men arrested in suspect of bomb attack on police station in Nay Pyi Taw

Four men were arrested on 16 June in suspect of bomb attack on police station in Lewei township of Nay Pyi Taw, according to the report of military’s propaganda media.

The attacks occurred at the police station, and at No.2 Gate of Myanmar International Convention Centre (MICC-2) on 13 June, killing one policeman, and a police officer and a sergeant injured.

The military newspapers reported that the four arrestees were Thet Naing and Ye Naing who carried out attacks, and taxi drivers Yan Naing Tun and Ai Phot (alis) Yan Naing Oo whose taxis were hired in the attacks.

Thet Naing and taxi driver Yan Naing Tun were arrested near Thukha market in Pyinmana township, while  taxi driver Ye Naing and Ai Phot (alis) Yan Naing Oo were captured at the checkpoint of Leiktho township, military reported, adding that the arrests were made through CCTV tracking and  the tip-offs from their informants.
