Kyaikmaraw, July (4)
A civilian was shot dead near the Chaung Hna Khwa Bridge police outpost in Chaung Hna Khwa village in Mon State’s Kyaikmaraw Township, locals confirmed to Than Lwin Times.
The Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) and allied resistance forces attacked a police outpost using two drone-carrying bombs around 11 a.m. on July 2.
The junta forces opened fire deliberately following the attack, killing 30-year-old Ko Nyein Chan, a resident from Chaung Hna Khwa village returning from sending his father to rubber farm.
After the attack, the regime troops blocked the Chaung Hna Khwa bridge for more than an hour and reopened it around 1 p.m.
However, on July 3, most of the residents of Chaung Hna Khwa village did not dare to go outside.
On November 22, last year, three policemen and soldiers were killed and four policemen were arrested in the attack on the Chaung Hna Khwa police outpost and checkpoint by the allied KNLA forces.
