Yebyu, July (12)

The fighting has erupted as regime forces advanced towards Nabule village in Tanintharyi Region’s Yebyu Township, the spokesperson for Tanintharyi PDF told Than Lwin Times.

On July 11, the entry of a 100-strong junta column into the Nabule area led to a clash between the warring rivals.

The exchange of fire continued until the afternoon, but no details about casualties or the situation were available, according to the resistance fighters.

According to local resistance forces, the military column may be heading towards Dawei Deep Sea Port, and a warship is also anchored off Bawa Beach.

Nearly 1,000 residents of the villages of Hteingyi, Akani, Leshaung, Khamauk Chaung and Win Chaung have been forced flee due to the military column entering the Nabule village tract.

On May 14, after the regime troops stationed at the police station near the Dawei deep sea port in the Nabule area were attacked, the junta army carried out airstrikes.
