Yangon, 26 July

A freight train was derailed while it was en route from Mandalay to Yangon on 23 July night.

Five carriages overturned in the accident that occurred between Paleik and Singaing stations, and the investigation found that some materials were lost from the rail track, according to the   military’s mouthpiece media.

The military council has not detailed about the value of losses, and Than Lwin Times did not get any response from the Myanma Railway about the accident.
